Hi, I'm Blue. I came into my mom's life as a tiny Yorkshire Terrier. She says it was love at first sight. I say she had good taste.

For the first few years of my life, my stomach and I did not get along. Constant digestive issues, and the answer was always another prescription food, or just rice and chicken again. My mom kept asking questions about what I was eating, and she never felt good about the answers she got.

Then one day, on vacation, driving to the airport, she passed a dog food factory. Big industrial towers, smoke coming out, the whole thing. She looked at it and thought, that’s where Blue’s dinner comes from? And that was kind of it for her.

She wanted my food made in a kitchen, with real ingredients she could actually see in my bowl. No preservatives, no unnecessary fillers, no long shelf life, no synthetic supplements. So she did what she does when it comes to me: got a little obsessed. Researched. Asked around. Learned about canine nutrition. Started cooking.

Those meals eventually became the recipes behind Yum Pal.

What started with one tiny Yorkie and his very determined dog mom became Yum Pal: a brand for dogs who are family, and the humans who wouldn’t have it any other way.

As for me, I got the CEO title. She still does most of the work.

Okay, You Should Probably Meet My Mom

She calls herself the founder. I call her Mom.

This is Claudia. She’s a dog mom first, my personal chef second, and the human behind Yum Pal somewhere after that. She’s the kind of dog mom who plans trips around whether I can come, celebrates my birthday like a national holiday, and has approximately 47,000 photos of me on her phone. In other words, she’s probably a lot like you.

She built Yum Pal around the life we’ve always shared, good food, lots of treats, places to go, things to do, and the firm belief that dogs belong in the middle of it all.

I handle quality control. She handles pretty much everything else.

Turns out, there are alot of us

The dog moms. The treat carriers. The people who RSVP for two: one human, one dog.

Yum Pal started because of my relationship with Blue, but somewhere along the way, it became a way to meet so many people who feel exactly the same way about their dogs.

Today, our community comes together online and in real life for walks, brunches, events, and dog-friendly experiences designed around one simple idea: life is better when they get to come too.
